Dominant groups
Analysis of the car ownership of the households in the Town of Bassendean in 2021 compared to EMRC area shows that 89.0% of the households owned at least one car, while 6.1% did not, compared with 91.1% and 4.4% respectively in EMRC area.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion who owned just one car; a smaller proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 36.3% of the households owned one car; 36.6% owned two cars; and 16.0% owned three cars or more, compared with 31.7%; 38.0% and 21.4% respectively for EMRC area.
