Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Lakes Entrance (Overlay) in 2021 compared to Paynesville shows that 82.8% of the households owned at least one car, while 6.5% did not, compared with 93.7% and 2.6% respectively in Paynesville.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion who owned just one car; a smaller proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 39.5% of the households owned one car; 31.1% owned two cars; and 12.3% owned three cars or more, compared with 35.3%; 40.5% and 17.9% respectively for Paynesville.
