Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Colac Otway Shire in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,205 females or 23.6%)
  • Retail Trade (584 females or 11.5%)
  • Education and Training (561 females or 11.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,350 females in total or 46.1% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Regional VIC employed 26.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.5% in Retail Trade; and 13.1% in Education and Training.
