Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Colac Otway Shire in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Manufacturing (1,050 males or 19.0%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (833 males or 15.1%)
  • Construction (823 males or 14.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,706 males in total or 48.9% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Colac - East employed 33.3% in Manufacturing; 7.0% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; and 11.6% in Construction.
