Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Sawtell in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (134 males or 16.4%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (108 males or 13.3%)
  • Retail Trade (73 males or 9.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 315 males in total or 38.7% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Mid-Coast NSW employed 18.1% in Construction; 8.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 9.1% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Sawtell and Mid-Coast NSW were:
