Analysis of the qualifications of the male population in the Southern Lakes District in 2021 compared to the Ourimbah District shows that there was a lower proportion of males holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a higher proportion of males with no formal qualifications.
Overall, 54.4% of the male population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 38.2% had no qualifications, compared with 57.9% and 35.6% respectively for the Ourimbah District.
The major differences between qualifications held by the male population of the Southern Lakes District and the Ourimbah District were:
- A larger percentage of males with Vocational qualifications (35.5% compared to 31.2%)
- A larger percentage of males with No qualifications (38.2% compared to 35.6%)
- A smaller percentage of males with Bachelor or Higher degrees (11.6% compared to 18.5%)
