Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Central Coast Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (18,336 females or 24.6%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (15,598 females or 20.9%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (14,156 females or 19.0%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 48,090 females in total or 64.4% of the employed female resident population.
In comparison, Lisarow - Mount Elliot employed 25.5% in Professionals; 21.2% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 16.9% in Community and Personal Service Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Central Coast Council area and Lisarow - Mount Elliot were:
- A larger percentage of females employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (19.0% compared to 16.9%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Managers (10.0% compared to 11.9%)
Emerging groups
The number of employed females in Central Coast Council area increased by 12,361 between 2011 and 2021.
The largest changes in the occupations of female residents between 2011 and 2021 in Central Coast Council area were for those employed as:
- Professionals (+5,018 females)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (+3,775 females)
- Managers (+2,391 females)
- Sales Workers (-749 females)
