An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Gosford City in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (11,007 females or 27.9%)
- Education and Training (4,958 females or 12.6%)
- Retail Trade (4,275 females or 10.8%)
In combination, these three industries employed 20,240 females in total or 51.2% of the total employed female resident population.
In comparison, the Mountains District employed 18.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.8% in Education and Training; and 8.2% in Retail Trade.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Gosford City and the Mountains District were:
- A larger percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (27.9% compared to 18.9%)
