Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Wyong, Warnervale and Gorokan in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (3,524 females or 29.6%)
  • Retail Trade (1,618 females or 13.6%)
  • Education and Training (1,229 females or 10.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 6,371 females in total or 53.6% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, the Mountains District employed 18.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 8.2% in Retail Trade; and 10.8% in Education and Training.
