Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Gorokan in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (611 people or 18.9%)
  • Construction (409 people or 12.6%)
  • Retail Trade (391 people or 12.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,411 people in total or 43.6% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Blue Haven employed 17.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.9% in Construction; and 14.4% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Gorokan and Blue Haven were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in health care and social assistance (18.9% compared to 17.2%)
  • A larger percentage of persons employed in construction (12.6% compared to 10.9%)
