Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in West Brisbane Water and Peninsula in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (2,026 males or 18.5%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (919 males or 8.4%)
  • Retail Trade (903 males or 8.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 3,848 males in total or 35.1% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, the Warnervale - Wadalba District employed 17.6% in Construction; 4.5% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 9.2% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of West Brisbane Water and Peninsula and the Warnervale - Wadalba District were:
