Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in West Brisbane Water and Peninsula in 2021 compared to Central Coast Council area shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a similar proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 23.8% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 12.6% were one-parent families, compared with 27.1% and 12.8% respectively for Central Coast Council area.

There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children.
