Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Kariong in 2021 compared to the West Brisbane Water District shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 43.7% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 13.2% were one-parent families, compared with 35.8% and 11.2% respectively for the West Brisbane Water District.
