Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in the The Entrance District in 2021 compared to the Gosford Central District shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 21.4% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 12.9% were one-parent families, compared with 18.9% and 10.5% respectively for the Gosford Central District.

There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a similar proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 31.8% compared to 36.1% in the Gosford Central District while the proportion of couples without children was 24.6% compared to 24.5% in the Gosford Central District.
