Analysis of the household/family types in the Southern Lakes District in 2021 compared to Woy Woy - Blackwall shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a similar proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 32.8% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 14.1% were one-parent families, compared with 19.3% and 13.6% respectively for Woy Woy - Blackwall.
There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 20.3% compared to 34.7% in Woy Woy - Blackwall while the proportion of couples without children was 26.0% compared to 23.3% in Woy Woy - Blackwall.
