Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in the Peninsula District in 2021 compared to Avoca Beach - Picketts Valley - Copacabana - MacMasters Beach shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 20.1% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 13.0% were one-parent families, compared with 36.2% and 10.6% respectively for Avoca Beach - Picketts Valley - Copacabana - MacMasters Beach.

There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children.
