Dominant groups

Analysis of the female five year age groups of Valleys District in 2021 compared to Central Coast Council area shows that there was a lower proportion of females in the younger age groups (under 15) as well as a lower proportion of females in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 15.4% of the female population was aged between 0 and 15, and 17.6% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 16.9% and 23.7% respectively for Central Coast Council area.

The major differences between the female age structure of Valleys District and Central Coast Council area were:
