Dominant groups
Analysis of the female five year age groups of Wyong, Warnervale and Gorokan in 2021 compared to the Wyong District shows that there was a higher proportion of females in the younger age groups (under 15) as well as a higher proportion of females in the older age groups (65+).
Overall, 18.9% of the female population was aged between 0 and 15, and 19.9% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 18.0% and 17.8% respectively for the Wyong District.
The major differences between the female age structure of Wyong, Warnervale and Gorokan and the Wyong District were:
- A larger percentage of females aged 85 and over (3.2% compared to 1.8%)
- A smaller percentage of females aged 55 to 59 (5.8% compared to 7.1%)

From 2001 to 2021, Wyong, Warnervale and Gorokan's female population increased by 10,862 people (57.9%). This represents an average annual population change of 2.31% per year over the period.
The largest changes in female age structure in this area between 2001 and 2021 were in the age groups:
- 20 to 24 (+827 females)
- 60 to 64 (+805 females)
- 55 to 59 (+780 females)
- 15 to 19 (+766 females)
