Dominant groups

Analysis of the male five year age groups of the Southern Lakes District in 2021 compared to the Peninsula District shows that there was a higher proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) and a lower proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 21.0% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 17.9% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 17.8% and 24.5% respectively for the Peninsula District.
