Dominant groups
Analysis of the family blending in West Brisbane Water and Peninsula in 2021 compared to Tuggerawong - Tacoma - Rocky Point shows that there was a lower proportion of step families as well as a lower proportion of blended families. Overall, 9.3% of total couple families with children were step families, and 4.3% were blended families, compared with 10.0% and 6.8% respectively for Tuggerawong - Tacoma - Rocky Point.
There were a higher proportion of other families and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of other families was 0.5% compared to 0.0% in Tuggerawong - Tacoma - Rocky Point while the proportion of intact families was 86.0% compared to 83.2% in Tuggerawong - Tacoma - Rocky Point.
