The size of the Ourimbah District's labour force in 2021 was 2,368, of which 820 were employed part-time and 1,191 were full time workers.
Analysis of the employment status (as a percentage of the labour force) in the Ourimbah District in 2021 compared to Warnervale - Wallarah - Bushells Ridge shows that there was a higher proportion in employment, and a lower proportion unemployed. Overall, 97.2% of the labour force was employed, and 2.8% unemployed, compared with 93.6% and 6.4% respectively for Warnervale - Wallarah - Bushells Ridge.
Analysis of the labour force participation rate of the population in the Ourimbah District in 2021 shows that there was a higher proportion in the labour force (63.8%) compared with Warnervale - Wallarah - Bushells Ridge (59.9%).
Between 2016 and 2021, the number of people employed in the Ourimbah District showed an increase of 57, and the number unemployed showed a decrease of 66. In the same period, the number of people in the labour force showed a decrease of 9 or 0.4%.
