Dominant groups
Analysis of the need for assistance of people in Central Coast NSW compared to Gosford Central shows that there was a lower proportion of people who reported needing assistance with core activities.
Overall, 6.0% of the population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 7.3% for Gosford Central.
The major differences in the age groups reporting a need for assistance in Tuggerah - Mardi and Gosford Central were:
- A larger percentage of persons aged 85 and over (55.7% compared to 35.8%)
- A larger percentage of persons aged 80 to 84 (24.4% compared to 19.5%)
- A larger percentage of persons aged 5 to 9 (8.6% compared to 7.0%)
- A larger percentage of persons aged 0 to 4 (3.5% compared to 1.9%)
Emerging groups
