Dominant groups
Analysis of the need for assistance of males in Central Coast NSW compared to Central Coast Council area shows that there was a higher proportion of males who reported needing assistance with core activities.
Overall, 9.0% of the male population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 6.9% for Central Coast Council area.
The major differences in the male age groups reporting a need for assistance in Kanwal - Wyongah and Central Coast Council area were:
- A larger percentage of males aged 70 to 74 (18.6% compared to 10.6%)
- A larger percentage of males aged 80 to 84 (28.4% compared to 21.0%)
- A larger percentage of males aged 75 to 79 (20.3% compared to 14.5%)
