Analysis of the need for assistance of females in Central Coast NSW compared to the Coastal District shows that there was a higher proportion of females who reported needing assistance with core activities.
Overall, 7.1% of the female population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 3.6% for the Coastal District.
The major differences in the female age groups reporting a need for assistance in Point Clare - Tascott - Koolewong - Woy Woy Bay and the Coastal District were:
- A larger percentage of females aged 85 and over (60.0% compared to 42.6%)
- A larger percentage of females aged 75 to 79 (16.0% compared to 9.7%)
