Dominant groups
Analysis of the ancestry responses of the population in East Brisbane Water and Coastal in 2021 shows that the top five ancestries nominated were:
- English (30,967 people or 45.5%)
- Australian (26,562 people or 39.0%)
- Irish (9,464 people or 13.9%)
- Scottish (8,021 people or 11.8%)
- German (2,389 people or 3.5%)
In combination these five ancestries account for 77,403 responses in total, or 113.73% of all responses.
The major differences between the ancestries of the population in East Brisbane Water and Coastal and the Peninsula District were:
