Dominant groups

Analysis of the females in the City of Casey in 2021 compared to Nillumbik Shire - Total females shows that there was a similar proportion of people in the younger age groups (under 15) and a lower proportion of people in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 22.0% of the females were aged between 0 and 14, and 11.6% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 18.0% and 16.9% respectively for Nillumbik Shire - Total females.

The major differences between the five year age groups of females in the City of Casey and Nillumbik Shire - Total females were:

  • A larger percentage of females aged 30 to 34 (8.4% compared to 4.8%)
