Dominant groups
Analysis of the car ownership of Persian/Dari speakers in the City of Casey in 2021 compared to Mornington Peninsula Shire shows that 96.6% were in households that owned at least one car, while 1.7% did not, compared with 100.0% and 0.0% respectively in Mornington Peninsula Shire.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion owned just one car; a smaller proportion owned two cars; and a larger proportion that owned three cars or more.
Overall, 16.7% of Persian/Dari speakers were in households that owned one car; 40.9% owned two cars; and 39.0% owned three cars or more, compared with 12.7%, 57.1% and 30.2% respectively for Mornington Peninsula Shire.

The largest changes in the household car ownership for Persian/Dari speakers in the City of Casey between 2016 and 2021 were:
