Dominant groups

Analysis of the country of birth of the Tamil speaking population in the City of Casey in 2021 compared to Greater Melbourne shows that there was a smaller proportion of people born overseas.

Overall, 76.8% of the Tamil speaking population was born overseas, compared with 81.5% for Greater Melbourne.

The major differences between the countries of birth of the Tamil speaking population in the City of Casey and Greater Melbourne were:
