Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Casey Growth Area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (3,461 males or 16.1%)
  • Manufacturing (2,954 males or 13.7%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (2,385 males or 11.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 8,800 males in total or 40.9% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, the City of Casey employed 18.4% in Construction; 14.2% in Manufacturing; and 8.6% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Casey Growth Area and the City of Casey were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in transport, postal and warehousing (11.1% compared to 8.6%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in health care and social assistance (7.8% compared to 5.6%)
