Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Hallam in 2016 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Manufacturing (462 males or 18.8%)
- Construction (395 males or 16.0%)
- Transport, Postal and Warehousing (240 males or 9.7%)
In combination, these three industries employed 1,097 males in total or 44.5% of the total employed male resident population.
In comparison, Hampton Park employed 21.8% in Manufacturing; 13.8% in Construction; and 9.6% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.
The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Hallam and Hampton Park were:
