Analysis of household income levels for recent arrivals in the City of Casey shows that there was a smaller proportion of recent arrivals in high income households (those earning $3,000 per week or more) and a lower proportion in low income households (those earning less than $799 per week) compared to Greater Melbourne in 2021.
Overall, 27.6% of recent arrivals were in households that earned a high income, and 7.5% were in low income households, compared with 29.6% and 12.6% respectively for Greater Melbourne.
