Dominant groups
Analysis of the language spoken at home by children aged 0 to 4 years in the City of Casey in 2021 compared to Mornington Peninsula Shire shows that there was a smaller proportion of people who spoke English only, and a larger proportion of those speaking a non-English language (either exclusively, or in addition to English).
Overall, 52.2% of children aged 0 to 4 years spoke English only, and 40.9% spoke a non-English language, compared with 90.0% and 5.4% respectively for Mornington Peninsula Shire.
