Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Canterbury Ward in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (2,099 males or 12.8%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (1,556 males or 9.5%)
  • Retail Trade (1,458 males or 8.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 5,113 males in total or 31.1% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Greenacre - Mount Lewis - Chullora employed 15.5% in Construction; 7.8% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 10.5% in Retail Trade.
