Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in City of Canning in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (6,058 people or 23.6%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (5,132 people or 20.0%)
- Machinery Operators And Drivers (3,021 people or 11.8%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 14,211 people in total or 55.3% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, City of Canning - Total population employed 25.9% in Professionals; 13.3% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 7.1% in Machinery Operators And Drivers.
The major differences between the jobs held by males in the City of Canning and City of Canning - Total population were:
- A larger percentage of males employed as Technicians and Trades Workers (20.0% compared to 13.3%)
