Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Paradise in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (475 females or 28.0%)
  • Education and Training (222 females or 13.1%)
  • Retail Trade (182 females or 10.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 879 females in total or 51.7% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Magill employed 27.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 16.2% in Education and Training; and 9.0% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Paradise and Magill were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in retail trade (10.7% compared to 9.0%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in other services (4.1% compared to 2.4%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in education and training (13.1% compared to 16.2%)
