Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Rochester in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (190 females or 32.8%)
  • Education and Training (76 females or 13.1%)
  • Retail Trade (74 females or 12.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 340 females in total or 58.7% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Campaspe Shire employed 27.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.8% in Education and Training; and 11.8% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Rochester and Campaspe Shire were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (32.8% compared to 27.8%)
