Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Rushworth and District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (131 females or 28.0%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (71 females or 15.2%)
  • Education and Training (48 females or 10.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 250 females in total or 53.4% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Echuca employed 29.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 1.4% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; and 11.0% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Rushworth and District and Echuca were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in agriculture, forestry and fishing (15.2% compared to 1.4%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in retail trade (7.5% compared to 13.2%)
