Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Erindale in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (115 males or 38.3%)
  • Managers (61 males or 20.3%)
  • Sales Workers (26 males or 8.7%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 202 males in total or 67.3% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, Toorak Gardens employed 43.5% in Professionals; 21.8% in Managers; and 6.0% in Sales Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Erindale and Toorak Gardens were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed as Sales Workers (8.7% compared to 6.0%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed as Labourers (7.0% compared to 4.8%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (8.3% compared to 6.2%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed as Professionals (38.3% compared to 43.5%)
