Dominant groups
Analysis of the household/family types of Italian speakers in the City of Burnside in 2021 compared to Greater Adelaide shows that there was a higher proportion of Italian speakers in couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion in one-parent families. Overall, 40.9% of Italian speakers were in couple families with child(ren), and 10.6% were one-parent families, compared with 34.9% and 11.8% respectively for Greater Adelaide.
There were a lower proportion of Italian speakers in lone person households and a lower proportion in couples without children.
