Dominant groups
Analysis of the qualifications of the population in Division 10 in 2021 compared to Division 7 shows that there was a higher proportion of people holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a lower proportion of people with no formal qualifications.
Overall, 44.2% of the population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 47.5% had no qualifications, compared with 39.7% and 49.5% respectively for Division 7.
The major differences between qualifications held by the population of Division 10 and Division 7 were:
- A larger percentage of persons with Bachelor or Higher degrees (10.6% compared to 8.6%)
- A larger percentage of persons with Vocational qualifications (26.7% compared to 25.4%)
- A larger percentage of persons with Advanced Diploma or Diplomas (6.9% compared to 5.7%)
- A smaller percentage of persons with No qualifications (47.5% compared to 49.5%)
Emerging groups
The largest changes in the qualifications of the population in Division 10 between 2001 and 2021 were in those with:
- No qualifications (-1,025 persons)
- Vocational qualifications (+914 persons)
- Bachelor or Higher degrees (+457 persons)
- Advanced Diploma or Diplomas (+285 persons)
