There were more male technicians and trades workers in Sunshine in 2021 than any other occupation.

Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Sunshine in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (486 males or 19.8%)
  • Professionals (454 males or 18.5%)
  • Machinery Operators And Drivers (371 males or 15.1%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,311 males in total or 53.3% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, Sunshine North employed 20.6% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 13.7% in Professionals; and 18.5% in Machinery Operators And Drivers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Sunshine and Sunshine North were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed as Professionals (18.5% compared to 13.7%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed as Machinery Operators And Drivers (15.1% compared to 18.5%)
