Dominant groups
Analysis of the male five year age groups of Kew in 2021 compared to Studley Ward shows that there was a similar proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) as well as a similar proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).
Overall, 15.7% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 17.7% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 15.9% and 17.4% respectively for Studley Ward.
The major differences between the male age structure of Kew and Studley Ward were:
- A larger percentage of males aged 15 to 19 (7.3% compared to 6.3%)
- A smaller percentage of males aged 30 to 34 (6.5% compared to 7.1%)
Emerging groups
From 2006 to 2021, Kew's male population increased by 993 people (9.3%). This represents an average annual population change of 0.6% per year over the period.
The largest changes in male age structure in this area between 2006 and 2021 were in the age groups:

- 70 to 74 (+231 males)
- 55 to 59 (+135 males)
- 50 to 54 (+102 males)
