Dominant groups
Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Kew in 2021 compared to Glen Iris shows that 90.6% of the households owned at least one car, while 5.9% did not, compared with 93.9% and 3.6% respectively in Glen Iris.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion who owned just one car; a smaller proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 39.5% of the households owned one car; 36.5% owned two cars; and 14.5% owned three cars or more, compared with 34.2%; 42.6% and 17.1% respectively for Glen Iris.
