Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Huntly in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (270 females or 31.8%)
  • Retail Trade (109 females or 12.9%)
  • Education and Training (91 females or 10.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 470 females in total or 55.4% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Rural Bendigo employed 27.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.9% in Retail Trade; and 12.1% in Education and Training.
