Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Eden Coast in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (117 males or 16.2%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (84 males or 11.6%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (63 males or 8.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 264 males in total or 36.5% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Eurobodalla Shire employed 21.9% in Construction; 3.7% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; and 8.3% in Accommodation and Food Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Eden Coast and Eurobodalla Shire were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in agriculture, forestry and fishing (11.6% compared to 3.7%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in manufacturing (8.6% compared to 4.3%)
