Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the population born overseas in Bayside Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (12,192 people or 26.2%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (5,803 people or 12.5%)
- Managers (5,454 people or 11.7%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 23,449 people in total or 50.4% of the employed population born overseas.
In comparison, New South Wales employed 30.2% in Professionals; 12.1% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 14.6% in Managers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population born overseas in Bayside Council area and New South Wales were:
- A larger percentage of people employed as Labourers (10.9% compared to 8.6%)
