Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the Arabic speaking resident population in Bayside Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (845 people or 23.8%)
- Managers (483 people or 13.6%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (469 people or 13.2%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,797 people in total or 50.6% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Greater Sydney employed 23.8% in Professionals; 14.3% in Managers; and 13.8% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
The major difference between the jobs held by the Arabic speaking population of Bayside Council area and Greater Sydney was:
- A larger percentage of people employed as Machinery Operators And Drivers (8.1% compared to 6.7%)

The number of employed Arabic speakers in Bayside Council area decreased by 75 between 2016 and 2021.
