Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Pagewood in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (138 males or 15.1%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (93 males or 10.2%)
  • Retail Trade (87 males or 9.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 318 males in total or 34.9% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Bayside Council area employed 13.5% in Construction; 10.3% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 8.6% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Pagewood and Bayside Council area were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in education and training (6.5% compared to 4.3%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in health care and social assistance (7.5% compared to 5.6%)
