Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Rockdale in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,220 people or 15.7%)
  • Retail Trade (821 people or 10.6%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (815 people or 10.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,856 people in total or 36.8% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Botany - Banksmeadow employed 11.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 7.4% in Retail Trade; and 4.7% in Accommodation and Food Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Rockdale and Botany - Banksmeadow were:
