Dominant groups

Analysis of individual income levels in Sans Souci in 2021 compared to Arncliffe shows that there was a higher proportion of people earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) as well as a higher proportion of low income people (those earning less than $500 per week).

Overall, 13.6% of the population earned a high income, and 32.0% earned a low income, compared with 11.9% and 29.5% respectively for Arncliffe.

The major differences between Sans Souci's individual incomes and Arncliffe's individual incomes were:

  • A larger percentage of persons who earned $400 - $499 (8.3% compared to 6.5%)
  • A larger percentage of persons who earned $300 - $399 (8.4% compared to 7.0%)
  • A larger percentage of persons who earned $3,500 or more (3.4% compared to 2.2%)
  • A smaller percentage of persons who earned Negative Income/ Nil income (9.0% compared to 9.9%)
